Who We Are:

It’s about action, and it carries with it the idea of doing something “rightly” or with intention. This is not about being perfect, nor about being right. Rather, it is about adopting the right posture when stepping into action.

Knowing ourselves rightly and cultivating right posture is the foundation of transformational growth. In a world full of external stimuli, we are here to help you orient around building that foundation and takeing insightful action toward wholeness, healing, connection, and thriving.

{Praxis}

It’s an old Latin word that evolved from an even older Greek word. It’s about doing.

What We Value…

Strengthening Your Connections

This is about authenticity. We are built for genuine and intimate connection with others. Without this, we become increasingly unwell. We believe that cultivating deep and meaningful relationship is the core of human thriving, and we are committed to helping you do this.

Expanding Your Purpose

This is about integrity. One of the most challenging things to do in this day and age is to know yourself. We believe that learning how to know yourself rightly is the foundation of living a purpose filled life, and we are experienced in guiding people to insight.

Deepening Your Impact

This is about practicing courage. It is one thing to know yourself, it is entirely another thing to live that out. We believe that your impact is directly correlated to courageous vulnerability, and we will walk alongside you as you learn to courageously live your story.

How We Approach It…

Sound Theory

Using sound clinical theory as our foundation, our therapists are able to enter into your story and provide structure and guidance in the direction of your growth.

Right Practice

Theory and reflection mean little if we are unable to put it to practice. We will work together to create opportunity to tangibly and practically find ways to grow into who you are becoming.

Wise Reflection

Knowing ourselves rightly necessitates wisely reflecting on our past. By gaining new perspective on past events we are able to see ourselves and the direction of our lives more clearly.

What You Can Expect…

Build a Relationship

The efficacy of therapy is directly related to the strength of relationship between therapist and client. This is important because therapy is not just a safe place to share your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. More accurately, therapy is a place to be challenged, to look for new perspectives, and to practice being brave in the direction of change.

Embrace the Process

We believe that your greatest gifts and deepest pain reside in the same place. This means that, in order to grow into the person you want to become, you will have confront the pain that is keeping you stuck. To be certain, this takes a considerable amount of courage. We get that. We are here to be with you so that you do not have to walk that path alone.

Do the Work

This is built into our name. Praxis - its about right practice. The expectation is that you take what you learn in session and make efforts to apply it to your life outside of therapy. Think of it like learning to drive a car. If you only take the DMV written test, but never find the courage to jump behind the wheel, you’ll never know where those skills could have taken you.
